88145, Air/Fuel Gauge install HELP!
Posted by undisputed, Apr-12-05 08:20 AM
I recently bought an air fuel gauge from someone local and am going to attempt to install it on my own. I know that he could easily install it for me but I wanted to attepmt it on my own. I have no experience with electrical stuff with my car so I need all of the help I can get. The only mods I have done are in my sig.(springs with the help of a friend) But nothing electrical(I haven't even changed the battery in my car!) So more descriptive posts are encouraged and pictures help :) thanks. OH I have an air fuel gauge and a gauge pod ready to install but what other equipment will I need?

Not really.

Your blinky A/F guage has 3 leads.

Signal: Splice into O2 wire on ECU harness. I forget the color combo but it's listed on the 2GNT main site and in that link above.
Power: Hook it up to the positive lead that powers your cigerette lighter. You have to pull out the driver side kick panel to get at it.
Ground: Any non painted bolt behind said kick panel or by the fuse box in the cabin or or or....
