This is my new clutch setup for the aluminum rod 2.5L I have been working on. It is an unorthodox aluminum flywheel, VR6 pressure plate and a custom disk. The clutch facings are coated to raise the friction coefficent. This should be capable of holding 650ft/lb tq.

Supposedly I'm getting pics from the fab guy tomorrow and I'll post them up. I doubt it though... He has my car at his own personal shop in WA.

How much did it cost for that clutch setup?

Anyone Know what to torque the pressure plate bolts to? I pit some loctite on them and torqued them to 25 ft/lbs. They are kind of small and going into aluminum so I didn't want to over do it.

I does look similar ... but it's not. Look at the flywheel - huge differences. I can't tell from you pic RxR, but I don't believe there are starter teeth on the FW you're picturing.

Ya the pic is not exactly what they sell, that unit comes all pre assembled like a CM, SPEC, LUK *sp* etc. That unit is off of ebay, clutch connection or some company etc etc and sells for 340+shipping. It is only rated for 60% more than stock holding figure your stocker is rated @ 140, so that one would be good to near 225 hp *weak IMO*. Although a CM is rated like 110% over stock which puts it somewhere in the 295 range. A much better unit. I emailed that company on ebay and have not gotten a response back from them on how much power their 'stg 4' will hold.

I... sense that you are not entirely impressed and are thinking that this may have some Spec stage III issues.... (I felt the tremors in the force)
