8807, E-Ram YA I know watch your thinking
Posted by Pyscodragon, Oct-14-01 11:01 AM
I got pissed on day when I called HRC and they told me no CC over 1500 so I just called up E-Racing and ordered one of those nifty lil electric superchargers for a joke.I wanted to test out my boost gauge. And you'd never guess but the lil ISH works puts out 1/2 psi and I could actually feel it.and my Gtech(as small as it is I still feel ripped off JK)read 11 more ponies.

Dude would that eram work with any car??? You would think that the turbo guys would use it for speeding up the spool time on their turbo's! Whoa just think of the reponse if you gave it some boost BEFORE the turbo! :) Just a thought.

Well I'll be damn 11hp @ the G-tech per 1/2lb of boost. So multiplied by 20 (.5lb of boostx20=10lbs) I should be pusing 140hp stock + 220hp from the 10lbs of boost + about 20hp in bolt ons and other shit I'd be looking at 380hp @ the G-tech. Of course E-ram doesn't heat the air like a turbo so mine is probably only a more reasonable 2 and a 1/4 @ the G-tech!

Probably a bad idea to use an e-ram with a turbo. Once you really start cramming air into the engine with a real turbo, that e-ram will likely turn into a restriction. Great fun for an NA car though.

Hmm I think I read wrong!. If you meant 1 to 2 lbs of boost (as apposed to 1/2 lbs) then the figures aren't to way off.

maybe it's just me, but i'd REALLY like to see some of the dyno numbers on a couple of our cars before I start thinking about spending 300.00 on an electric supercharger.

I saw this post and went to the web site for this electic supercharger! it is http://www.electricsupercharger.com they have dyno results from similar engines. If you ask me it MIGHT and only MIGHT be a good buy. The web site has a couple of cars that had 22hp gains! Now that would be worth it. Perhaps if you could get a few guys together and do a group buy?? I might even be interested just for fun! :)
Peace out.

I owuld need to see some serious non-manufacturer numbers before I even concidered it.

I'm with Michael_97RS .. I need some non manufacturere numbers.. sure the thing floats ( see the video on the web site) but It seems to me that there would have to be a serious unbiased test somewhere before i decided to use this thing..
