88014, How many still run with a CEL? Posted by Semperboost, Apr-08-05 11:21 AM
I keep on getting the infamous EGR Insufficient Flow CEL every couple of days and keep reseting it. I know alot of you guys run with it on but doesn't the CEL put the car in a "Safe Mode" making it run richer than normal? Thanks Alvin

Typically, no. For an O2 sensor code, yeah. For just about anything else, no.

use the resistor mod, the cel has came on 2 times since. It makes tne idle a lil lumpy but oh well you learn to live with it.

I have a switch installed on the CEL, so i can turn it on to check it, but turn it off when i don't want to look at it. But, yeah, I do have a CEL for the EGR.
