Well if anybody's keeping track, I have bitched that I thought my adj cam gears were f'd up, then I bitched I thought my cams were messed up.

Tonite I got it TDC and staired at it. I got out the carpenters square and did some adjusting and found that the intake cam is correct, but for the exhaust cam to be correct, I had to put it all the way to +10. When saying "correct" I mean at zero.

So this just means that the cams werent installed right, correct?

To be absolutely sure you have to look at the cam gears AND the crank gear. Make sure everything is lined up at once...but yeah - if the cam gears aren't lining up properly then it would seem to me that there is some sort of instalation problem. Again, just tear it down and make sure all of the gears line up at the same time - you'll be golden if you cna do this.

Do you have AEM cam gears? If so, some AEM gears were indexed wrong.

Dunno if this helps.

Edit, actually re-reading your post it sounds like the cam gear needs to be about 1-2 teeth over on the timing belt. The gear/timing belt was installed wrong.
