Been a while since my last head gasket change, or since my car's been running for that matter. I've searched for the pic but it's not up anymore. Can someone tell me which way it goes? Is it the tabs facing the front of the car with the long tab on the left, two short tabs on the right?

Take a look at whereall of the holes line up, like the oil and coolant holes. You should be able to tell if you look at all of the holes on the hg compared to the ones on the block. At least my Fel Pro hg only looked right one way, I don't know about other brands though, maybe someone else will know. What brand of hg did you get?? Look at it closely and you should be able to tell.

I forgot which way was right side up. But I found an older post where dino said the smaller holes go toward the water pump.

It can "fit" on 4 different ways, upside down and backwards :+
