Ok I been having problems starting up my car lately It turns over strong but doesnt fire up, checked the fuel rail and it is getting fuel, changed the coil pack and still turns over without firing up. I have no idea on what else I can check. car has been doing this for 2 months now but it use to be Random, most of the time it would just take a little while to start, but it has become alot worst like yesterday night it took like 20 min to finally start.
car is a 99 with 63k Star stage 2 kit/missing link
Please help

Any CEL's???
my car use to do that cuz i had a crazy ass exhaust leak. Check the fuel pump relay or replace it anyways (like $7) and/or pull a plug and see if its gettin spark. Oh and I tell this to everybody cuz its easy to do but before you jam your key in and crank it over just turn the ignition on and let the fuel pump prime the system. Just a few cheap and easy things to check...

replace the cam position sensor. if nothing after that, replace the crank position sensor. 1 of those will work for you.
same thing hap'd to me last year and it was the cam sensor.

rewire the fuel pump??? check for shorts in the existing wiring..
might want to check the fuel pressure at the rail while cranking and b4 cranking the motor over...
good luck
could be something easy as a ground that got F'd up

My car had an issue like this before...turns out it was the fuel pump relay..It should be the relay on the driver side firewall, closest to the fender..
