86888, Yet another ground wire kit question (sorry) Posted by Ryan97EclipseRS, Mar-09-05 09:56 PM
Hope I don't take any heat for this for any reason but i searched and searched for some good pics of the ground wire kit points and how to "leap-frog" them but im coming up with a shload of dead pic links etc. Anyone have any pics they can bring back from the dead? So far Ive got this: -Neg Terminal-right throttle nut-left throttle nut-alternator mounting bolt-passenger strut nut
-Neg Terminal-Ecu ground point
-Neg terminal-starter ground point on the block
so 3 seperate wires coming off the Neg Term and leap frogging in that order?

here is my input, it should all be daisy chained, so there is only 1 wire on the ground
do a google search for ground loops and you will see why
ie. battery post----ground on the strut tower---intake manifold---alternator---ecu---etc..

Get a heavy duty terminal from Autozone for about $3, then run your wires like I said (as your text instructions sound like mine), and you run three wires out of the terminal. One will leap frog along the back of the bay to the points listed. The second will be a shortie going to the factory, fender ground point, and the third will leap to the block at the starter and then to the front of the head. Just like you see in the picture above.
End of discussion imo.
