This broke off durring the clutch install? What does it do and where can I get a new one? It was attached by two electrical wires near where my stock airbox used to be..

it's a resistor...but I'm willing to bet that ain't stock. Is it one of those ebay "performance" chips? it could have been keeping a CEL from coming on...is your EGR system disabled?

Well I thought it might not be stock, but I did not put it on and I have owned the car for 5 years now.
EGR system went the way of the buffalo quite some time ago.

It is,(was), attached to some stock wiring so Im going to guess I'm going to need it.

yep its the resistor to fool the egr system into thinking the solenoid is still there, cheap to replace from digikey, radio shack might even sell them

Yup, Radio shack sells those things for about 2 bucks.

I wonder if that was for the Pulsed Air Injection system that the 95's had on them..Those were recalled for it and removed, so maybe that was there to keep any CEL's from coming on..that is if your car is a 95 anyway.
