Ok, so i am contemplating the afx pully. But i have heard peeps complain about squeeling with this. So to help me make my decision of more power, or dealing with the squeel, please let me know how many of you guys have this problem. Some say that tightening belts don't really help, so let me know guys!! thanks!

Mine has a light squeal all the time when it's spinning. If you must mod, then I think the "claimed" hp gains make this mod worth it. To me, there really wasn't much difference...

I had it for over a year now, no problems at all, it made that noise once I first put it on, I then tighted it a bit more and it's all good now.

I just had an AFX UDP installed on this Tues. It's worth it and I had the mechanic at a local shop install for 90 bucks. No squealing either!

mine didn't start squealing until about 2 months after the install. it didn't need to be adjusted, so i just put some belt dressing on the belts today. the squealing stopped, but i don't know if it will come back or not, i hope not b/c it really sounds cheasy when you pull up to someone and your engine's squealing like some old beater.

Hey Adel, you said that you tightened it up and all was fine. Well what did you tighten down? Just wondering.

Definately a must mod item. Mine has like michelle a light squeele at idle, only because my belts have stretched(like all do) and they need to be tightened. I just haven't gotten under there to tighten 'em yet. My Neon doesn't have the UDp and the belts have started to squeel... again I need to tighten those too. But definately worth the money and even the sqeel if I were never to fix it.

Mine fuckin squeals all the time!!!! Im gonna try and put the best from my old pulley on today.... hopefully it goes away. But in my case the power isnt worth it. Id rather have a car that sounds good.

My belts squeal with the stock pulleys. It is a tensioner issue not a pulley issue.

OZgs99... don't bother the belts are different sizes the stock belt will not work with the underdrive pulley.

I've had it for about a year, it squeals at idle, haha really makes me car sound like a POS but when you hear the turbo spool that's a different story ^_^

The belts taht came with mine were too long, the alternator belt was the one that was too long. I changed belts and it helped a litte. Sometimes it's it squeals and sometimes it doesn't... go figure


Grrr it's gonna eat you up!
