86406, How much $ to install a longblock
Posted by blitzeclipse98, Feb-24-05 01:14 PM
I'm having a mechanic drop in my soon-to-arrive long block.
It was hard enough to get a mechanic to even agree to do it, but this one shop quoted me at $900.00 fully installed.

Can anyone tell me what is the going rate for a job like this AND how many hours it would take? One person mentioned I shouldn't pay more than $500.

Damn, if you could get to me in PA, Id do it for 500.00. I would also have it in, in under a day. Where in NJ do you live?

900.00 is kind of a bit much. Im sure if you ask around, you'll have a friend that knows somebody.

Good luck

Well whereever it goes its going on a flatbed! :(

I live in 08884 central jersey, about 45 minutes away to PA. Thanks for the offer but a tow that far would cost over 200 bucks I'm sure.
