I was attempting to clean the filter on my cai but when I took off the clamp on the filter and tried to pull it off... it wouldnt come off. It's really on there tight for some reason. I even tried taking a screwdriver and wedging all around the edges and it still wouldnt come off. I thought they're supposed to come off with ease?

spray some wd40 or something aroud the edge. let it sit.


If you try TWISTING it on the pipe instead of pulling it might help.

Heat the rubber up with a hair dryer or something, nuff said, lol.

J/K. Since you're going to want to either recharge or replace that filter entirely, I would advise removing the section of piping that it's stuck on, and submerging it in water for a while to both soften the rubber and get between the surfaces. Wiggle it... just a little bit. Can't say I've ever had that problem, but I'd be leary of reinstalling that filter once it was off.
