85990, questions about the engine rebuild kits on HOWELL AUTO Posted by gunmetalGS, Feb-14-05 02:05 PM
anyone buy the engine's bottom and top end kits from HOWELL AUTOMOTIVE?
i noticed that there weren't any reviews on those kits, so i thought i could ask you guys for any heads up.
do you think it is worth buying?

did you search?! theres only like 10 million reviews about howell on this. their kits are very well put together and good prices, they just take forever to ship it and get it in stock. took 8 weeks to get my rebuild kit. try searching, there has to be atleast 100 posts throughout the passed couple years about howell on this site!

the kits do take awhile for you to get. and are peiced with the basic forged components. id try to get the hastings rings rather than the totalseals.

Yeah Howell's reputation of taking their sweet ass time has been proven. Definitely set aside some time to get your order.
Definitely go with other ring set than Total Seals.
Oh, and your Cali Registration sticker was due september. Hope you got your new red 2006.

Nope, that aint happening. I have been waiting on the crate motor for 7 weeks now and still not ready. Whether you get the motor or rebuild kit, it is gonna take forever.
