85528, Difference between long/short block
Posted by ForceFed420a, Feb-03-05 03:46 AM
Well, I've searched a bit, but can't find my answer.

So what is the difference between howell's long and short block? Advantages/Disadvantages (besides the price of the block itself).

Just wondering.

Thanks,
Brian

PS Happy late Groundhog Day.

Shortblock does not include oil pan, cylinder head, etc. It is the block, crank, pistons and rods.

Long blocks can vary, but they generally include the head, oil pan, and sometimes water pumps and such depending on application.
