85408, Fuel Question Posted by eclipse7782, Jan-30-05 03:21 PM
I am about to hook up my vortech sfmu, on my 1997 eclipse gs, for those of you who have done this I have what I hope is a simple question. Right now the a hose comes off of the feed line of the fuel pump goes to the stock fuel pressure regulator then goes to more feed line. How do I connect the hose coming off of the fuel pump and goes to the (IN) side of stock fpr to the line that connects to the (OUT) side of the stock fpr. Here is an example of stock: (fuel pump-----stock fpr-----) Here is my delema (fuel pump----- ? -----) What do i use to connect the 2 lines?? Thanks, hope i explained this well but have a feeling I didnt.=)

Didn't really answer the question but I do appreciate the effort :thumbsup Basically just let me know what I knew in the begining that I would have to get under the car and look. Looking for a little more detail, and pictures would be very helpful considering i cannot get under the car until saturday.

Uuummm... correct me if Im wrong but I'm thinking: fuel pump-filter(inline)-fuel rail-regulator(FMU)-return right?!? If you have all new parts then just bypass the stock FPR and filter and connect to the rail, with an inline filter of course. After the rail come off the test port to your regulator and then simply back to the tank, at least thats what I'd do. Someone tell me if Im a BANME!! I believe Corbin's got a write-up on his site.
