Ok, I'm wondering if anyone has this setup somewhat and can tell me about how much hp I can expect when finished. Here's what I have almost put together, most of this stuff I already have or am about to buy. 60mm TB, Ported and polished intake manifold, ported and polished head, magnaflow catback, high flow cat, rev stainless valves, crower stage 2 cams, titanium retainers and crower springs, SBI rockers and lashers, Spec stage 3 clutch, eagle rods, JE 8.6:1 pistons .02 over, melling oil pump, afx UDP, Star stage 2 turbo kit at 15 lbs of boost tuned. Any thoughts as to how much hp this puppy will pump out? I'm getting 440 injectors, a 3 inch DP, and the Qtech 3" exhaust cutout. As for fuel management, I really want to boost 18lbs, but I keep hearing that over 15lbs. is a bitch to tune, what fuel setup should I go with to run 18lbs??? I'm gonna scrap the fmu in the star kit and the intercooler for a bigger one. Any thought?? I want to be over 300hp for sure and think that 15 lbs would get me there with all of the mods, but 18 would be nice, I just don't want to deal with the fuel problem all the time ya know?? I'm going to get it dyno'd right after everyhting is put together, so would 18 or even 20 lbs be possible without problems? Let me know fellas, I really need to start buying things, Please give me your thought about what I should change or do different.

Well, for starters, if you should get that engine and a refund from paypal because of the fraud case, I say you at least offer to give Darkreality the money if he doesn't want the engine back (which he might not, considering he really has nothing to put it in now).
Otherwise, I think you could be close to the 300 mark. Hard to say, this being benchracing and all... :rolleyes

Oh yeah man, definately, I'll get that money to Darkreality if I get it back and the insurance doesn't cover it. That's just a shitty situation, we're waiting to see what comes from it. But I gotta start buying other parts right now, so back to the subject at hand. ~Jeffo
Hey, have you seen my new tail lights? Yeah, cool huh, get used to looking at them.

With the projected mods list, I'd say ~300 whp at approx. 18 psi. Once tuned, I think you should see a little more. When you plan to boost higher than 15-18 psi, you'll probably want to get an aftermarket ignition to possibly retard some timing (in case you run into any timing advance issues.) Also, what do you plan to use to control fuel ( for example, E-manage, MegaSquirt, Accel DFI, or 8-injector setup)?

I'm not sure as to what fuel control setup I am going to go with, I want something that works great, but around $500, what's the BEST possible setup I can get for that. I am new to turbo's but I'm not dumb, (as I will be doing all of the work on my car and have so far). So you think 300 at the wheels? That sounds pretty dam nice to me, I can't wait. ~Jeffo

there is only ONE fuel management computer you can get for under $500. You'll probably be happy with the Megasquirt though, everyone else is thrilled about it.

So, if you were to go with my setup of what I plan to do, what fuel setup would you go with if you were me?? Also, I plan to take my car to the dyno as soon as it's put together, so would the place where I dyno my car be able to run megasquirt? ~Jeffo

Do you mean, "Would they know how to tune my MS powered 2GNT?" Doubtful. MS is for people that want complete control and know what they are doing...not by paying some other ass lick to roll your car on the dyno and pretend tune.

Somebody isn't happy to be back at work tonight! :P
If you get the MSnS and a wideband, then the only reason you might have to go to the dyno would be to tune your cam gears. You wouldn't even need to pay for their wideband service. MSnS will use the wideband information to adjust your injectors on the fly to maintain your target AFR both in boost and vacuum. You might have to spend a little time researching and talking with MS'd members here, but we will get you straightened out. For me, the allure of the MSnS is the simplicity once you get it set. Sort of like Ron Popeil tuning... Set it and forget it.*
Note* I know there is no such thing as "set it and forget it" (SIFI) tuning, but for what it does, the Megasquirt really simplifies tuning and allows the average joe to do a better job imo.

Well, I'm thinkin MS is the way to go from the sound of things. I am going to be relatively new to tuning a turbo, so MS and a wideband o2 huh? Which o2 setup is a good one? I don't really want to skimp out on things since I have already spent too much. I would search, but we got this thing goin good so far. I'll start my reading on MS though, search search search. ~Jeffo
