8513, Throttle cables really loose....how to fix?
Posted by Jeff_99gs, Oct-09-01 02:20 AM
I took my car out yesterday for some driving and it felt like a dog... I popped the hood and found the throttle cable going from the cruise box to the TB REALLY loose. Like barely on. How do I tighten this? None of the bolts I played with were working.

Thanks.

a short distance from the throttle body, along the throtle cable, should be a bracket mounted to the intake manifold. Adjusting that should helpt tighten the cable.

Thanks Todd.

Well I slid that bracket to the left and it did make the cable tight, but now I idle at 1100rpm.
Looks like I have some more tuning to do....and that damn CE light came back on again! grr.....
