8467, cat-back install!!!!!! Posted by RoboTechDSM, Oct-07-01 01:43 PM
OK, after weeks and weeks of waiting, I've finally decided to install my exhaust system. After asking several shops in the area, they both charged between 50-80 bucks for the install. I was like, NAH, I'd rather do it myself and 'bond' more with the car. Are there any advice that you guys can give me in terms of the install??? What was the hardest part???? What to check after the install??? Is it really that hard than to pay some shop to do the work for me??? I tried to check the PaceSetter exhaust install under the mods section, but somehow it doesn't work. Thanks guys!!!!!!

hardest part- GETTING THE DAMN BOLTS OFF!! stock up on WD-40 and spray the bolts with it like a day before, then a couple hours before the install.

instead of wd 40, i used rust off. any parts shop will have sumthin better than wd40, but it works. as for the hardest part, thats takin the stock one off your shit. all them bolts r a beyotch. the worst one i had was for the O2 sensor, and also getttin the muffler section out from above the rear axle (i think it was the axle). anyways, try this writeup, it helped me a lot and was with the pacesetter too. http://www.geocities.com/vttalon/exhaust.html
