I am not sure and kinda lost.

What is the ARP HEAD STUDS and MAIN STUDS?
Why is changing the original head bolts to studs are better?

The head studs keep your head on and the main studs hold the bed plate. Studs are better because you can esentially tightan then down more than bolts. All of the tension is on the threads rather than being on the top of the bolt.

So for the head bolts, now I am going to rebuild it, I should change my head bolts anyway, so I should change them to ARP studs.

do I have to do the Main Studs as well?
How bout the rod bolts? From reading all kinds of post here, I saw some people said the Eagle rod bolts are not too good, so I should change them to the ARP? is it true?

I would change to studs. It's a good idea to do the mains if you do the head. The rod bolts that came with my eagles were ARP :shrug

Beside from the questions ^^^^.
I also have a question.

For the head bolts, everyone been saying the right upper corner bolts should be CUT shorter otherwise the head won't be sealed as good. Is it true? (even I used MLS HG)

If the above is true, do I have to the same to the ARP Head studs?

If reusing the OEM head bolt, take 3 threads off the corner bolt with a grinder. Better if you have the money and buy the studs. You do not need to grind the studs.

ARP (or any brand) of head studs do not need to be modified at all, they fix the head bolt problem.

ARP main studs replace the bedplate bolts. These bolts should be replaced during a rebuild, but few people do (I dont). Usually it's cheaper to just get oem replacements if you want to replace them.

The Eagle rod bolts are ARP, and are great. Don't replace them.

So for the Head Bolts, I should DEFINITELY change it to ARP Studs.
For the main bolts, I can just use the OEM bolts are fine.
For the Eagle Rods, The bolts are ARP, so don't change it.

Am I correct?
