83100, o noes, my compression is going down... Posted by talonguy2005, Nov-30-04 04:03 PM
my compression was at about 180 like 2 months ago, and now its at about 160 - 170 all accross, is it normal for compression to drop that quick? i have only driven it about 2,500 miles at the most in that time. o well, my rebuild should be very soon :D

was everything the same when you did it? car temp, elevation.....ie. stuff like that can affect it.

a brand new head gasket and head with new valves and seals, i would think the compression would go up though.... :shrug but the head gasket is like 2 or three times thicker than the stock one that was on there, i dont think my timing is off either
