82847, after running at about 3,500 to 4,000 rpms Posted by talonguy2005, Nov-20-04 08:33 AM
after i have been on the freeway for like 10 mins or so, at about 3,500 to 4,000 rpms in 5th gear, the car will sound like it might be misfiring, or sputtering once the rpms come down to like 2,500ish and it will just sputter, unless i downshift and get the rpms back up again. any ideas what can cause this, my CEL is on, but im pretty sure its just for a very small EGR leak. my car idels almost perfectly too.. any idea?

I'm having the same problem once in awhile and it is because my O2 sensor is comletely shot. Give that a check.
