82248, E-Manage Ignition Posted by DNA, Oct-26-04 03:57 AM
I've been searching and searching and found no answer. Is there any instruction for hooking up the ignition harness?? I read the review section and there is nothing about it.
Thank you.

I don't believe anyone had done it. The E-Manage expects a +5vdc trigger and puts out a +5vdc signal. Our coil packs always have a +12vdc signal to charge and fire when they get a ground I think. I could be wrong.
You would simply tap into the two outside wires on the coil pack plug, the side from the ecu would goto the in on the emanage harness and the out would goto the coil pack. But I'm not sure the signals are compatible.

the emanage can be configured to input or output 12 or 5 volts.
recent circumstances with my MSD have forced me into researching this issue more. I have created and built the circuit, I will test it this weekend. It looks like an apexi super ground unit. If it works good I will cry. MSD 6212 sucks. I will have some info monday or tuesday
