okay i have the crane #12 cams with the pt cruiser lifters, heres the question do i need cam gears, and valve springs and retainers or am i all right with the more aggressive cams and upgraded lifters. I have all the basic bolt ons and udp. I was just wondering because since i have everything off i might as well do it right while im in there.

i would get the crane/crower springs. you will prolly need to upgrade in the future anyways. dont really need cam gears, but will help in making more power out of your cams.

the crane #12's shouldnt require the springs and retainers. Crower requires them on the stage 3 cams, but not the stage 2's, and the crane 12's are similar to the stage 2's i believe

Yes, those two cams are pretty close, and you'll probably be fine with the stock springs. But I think you can pick up a set of crane springs for like $130 or so. It'll be better to upgrade them anyway, especially since you've got it all apart.
