Ok .. were the 95's the only year to come with a fpr ? or what was special about htem ... and is the fpr located on the firewall or under the car .

Yep, the 95s have a FPR. Its on the end of the fuel rail. Its the thing with the vacuum line going into it on the passenger's side of the fuel rail.

Most all cars have fuel pressure regulators. The '95's also have it's fuel filter under the hood.

The '95 cars were the only ones with vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulators. Like MetalJim mentioned, they are on the end of the fuel rail and have a vacuum line running to them. They change fuel pressure relative to intake manifold pressure. This keeps the fuel capability of the injectors constant. The later cars have fixed fuel pressure regulators back by the gas tank. Fuel pressure stays the same no matter what the intake manifold pressure is. The fuel capability of the injectors will go down as intake manifold pressure rises. The ECU compensates for this automatically.
