81614, For those of you with a Modern Performance Throttle Body... Posted by JWoodley, Oct-11-04 06:52 PM
I found a hex-headed nut tightened down flush to the TB itself and was wondering what the hell its supposed to be. I'm going to take my N20 Jet out of my AEM intake tomorrow and see if it threads in pefectly. The hole is before the butterfly and has me wondering what it could be for. Has anyone else ever noticed this? I'm gonna try to get pics up tomorrow.
Explain...

im pretty sure its from the CNC machining of the TB. couldnt ddrill form the inside, so they had to go from the bottom up and cap it off.

Maybe so.
Its threaded, so I'm gonna try the n20 jet tonite.

I believe that screw is to facilitate the drilling of the port for the IAC motor. The hole in the top of the TB is for the EVAP vac line hookup.

Yea, thats my conclusion as well. A ported/polished/gasket matched manifold with knife edged injector humps as well as being portmatched to my 60mm tb is raw. Hell of alot better than the 60mm on the 52mm mani.

I dont think thats a good idea to put the nitrous nozzle right at the throttle body. Its not gonna have time to mix well with the air comin in thru the intake and yours gonna get a lot more nitrous in the first combustion chamber then the rest and its gonna be highly concentrated in there. When i put nitrous on my old car i was told to keep the nozzel 8 to 12 inches back from the throttle body.
