81433, Need help with mis-firing

Alright guys, here's the run down. Car has been running fine until today. Put in a new valve cover gasket because oil was leaking onto the first spark plug, but mind you, the car was running perfectly, not a hitch. Just figured I should go ahead and replace it before it became a problem. Anyways, now, anytime I try to accelerate my car sputters and misfires and it's annoying as hell. Everything is fine if you push the pedal 5 - 10% of the way down but anymore than that and it all goes to hell. This only occurs in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears, and once you get above 3000 RPM's in 5th gear it goes away. I've had a bad 02 sensor a few months ago, so I know what that's like and this is different. Besides an 02 sensor shouldn't die that fast anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

sounds like a vacuum leak, check your hoses for cracks and leaks: or maybe you didn't plug the wires all the way back onto your spark plugs, check that out. or maybe when you put the valve cover back on, you might have lost one of the circle seals that set around the plugs and oil is fouling your plugs. pull the plugs and check for oil...chris

Hey man, I appreciated it.. When I plugged the spark plugs back in I didn't have one of them pushed all the way in. I'm such a moron.. haha.. Thanks again..
