Ok my 2gnt got 30 miles on a 1/4 tank of gas that sucks bigtime . There are no visible leaks and i have drove the car like a granny . The gas is like 3 days old so it cant be bad.. Could there be something wrong with my injectors ? like possibly stuck open ? i need help .. b/c this gas mileage is shitty . thanks in advance.

Check your plugs. They will indicate if you are running extremely rich. If indeed your car is running that rich, you can consider you catalytic converter's life cut in half, if there is any left in it. Check emission controls and any related sensors as well.

What you describe seems rediculous to the point that you may have a leak in your gas tank. Do you notice any gas smell while at idle or if your car has been sitting in an enclosed area (garage)?

Is your CEL on? tell us the codes.

Damn, that is shitty. You could have an injector stuck open, but if you were doing that bad, you should be running so much extra gas you would smell the car a block away idling. Not to mention running down the road. Plus you should have a cloud of white smoke coming from the pipe.

Fuel pressure is constant from the pump so you should be able to just start the car up, and check around your tank, fuel filter, fuel rail, etc for leaks. You could also have a clogged catalytic converter (notorious for killing mileage), bad injectors, or maybe something extreme like poor timing, or an ecu problem.

how do i get to the fuel pump ? and im going to check all the lines under the hood .

Fuel pump is under a cover underneith your rear seat.

Someone else may have to confirm this, but I believe the fuel pump is inside the tank. You can pull the cap and the pump comes out with that??

Yeah, there are 4 screws on the cover, which is on the passenger side, directly underneath the back seat. Under that, there are 8 small nuts that hold the fuel pump assembly in place. When you are putting them back, do NOT overtorque them. They will snap, and you will be shit out of luck.

Yup. 2g FWD (not sure about AWD) owners should be glad they can access to the fuel pump without having to drop the tank. Don't screw it up, it's not going to be fun when you do.

passenger side. take the bottom part of your seat out and youll HOPEFULLY see the little cover that you have to take off.

ok i took of the little square cover . I looked at the lines leading to the other cover.. it was all dry . Do i need to take off the cover under that ... and or i think my gauge is fucked it will shift 1/4 tank from when im moving and stoped . wtf is up . i got 30 miles to the 1/4 tank . My cat is not clogged . I feel constant pressure out my exhaust . So do i need to take off the other cover.

My o2 sensor went bad and my mileage dropped to like 18mpg...
