Or, perhaps the PG, because it's a piece of shit, is worn down enough to no longer engage the spider gears, making it no better than a stock diff.

i had it in my old tranny its did good but i also had the upgraded springs in it they r alot stiffer. does yours have them?
i've heard the ones that come in it without the race upgrade are crap

Yeah once the material wears down (leaving metal in your trans) the coil springs don't have the force to hold the spider gears. I'd be curious to install a phanton grip and measure the torque rating of the PG verses what we set the Retrofits at.

I cryotreated my PG and PG diff pin, so hopefully I won't have these problems. I guess I'll find out shortly and take note of any metal in the fluid after draining.

How old is the tranny/PG LSD?

Deano, you're absolutely cryo happy, aren't you! Just don't go have the wife and the kids cryo-treated, I don't think that they would ever be the same again.

how much "usage" has your PG seen?... not actually knowing the material density or properties of what it's made from, it is possible that it may have worn. but realistically it should take quite a while to do so while sitting in the diff. does anyone know what material or grade they make them out of?
