post cleaners you use and any other methods thanks

I've used the foam cleaner. You get it at any parts store forgot the name of it. Best way to it is to let the car warm up or just drive it around town for like 5 minutes. Then spray the stuff on let it sit then rinse off. Simple. Be carefull with the sparkplug area. You can easily get water inside the spark plug wells. Don't use high pressure either.

You can also go to some car wash places, some have a setting for engine cleaning. But again be carefull with the high pressure hose.

When all is done let it sit for a while to let any water dry thats on your belts or inside your sparkplug wells. Good Luck, it looks real nice when its all done!

OK Im a "Pro Detailer" I really am, Anyway what I use is some Sprip Tease from Malco, I spray it on and let it sit then I hose it off. I then use the air gun to dry it and then I use some Malco "Shine It" over every thing and call it a day. But you have to get all of this stuff in 5 gallon drums. So I would get some Meguiras "Xtra" and some spary tire shine and go to town on it.

there was a big write up not too long ago. search it and you'll see a long write up on how it was done. but basically, its all the same.. get some cleaner, spray it on, wash it off.

for shows, I do this.... Use air hoses in my dad's garage. u may or may not have access to these. This gets extra dirt and dust or whatever outta the way. I then use what's called oops cleaner. It is clear coat safe. I clean the painted parts of the bay with it. I then get a wet cloth and wipe down the engine. I use chrome polish on my strut bar. (and soon enough when I get my chrome valve cover) I use armor all on the stock valve cover and then the tire gel when I get to the show. I have entered about 6 shows and I have 6 trophies and 3 of those are 1st place winners.

i cover everything i don't want to get wet (filter, plugs, etc) with saran wrap... then spray SIMPLE GREEN. then take a soft brush and scrub the grease and gunk off.. then rinse with hot water.

CD-2 Engine Cleaner & Detailer Kit. Bought it for $6 at Target. Works great. My engine pic in my signature is after I used it. The detailer needs to "bake" in to look good, though. I usually spray it and run the car with the hood down (usually just drive around). This smooths the few places it sometimes beads up. Just ask anyone who was at the 2GNT meeting in August how good it looks.:D

I used the CD2 stuff Ichiban used. Woohoo was his engine bay clean as hell when I saw it during the meet. Managed to get mine all shiny as well. Haha not good for intercooler piping though, makes the piping all oily and crap and it starts popping off. Reconditions rubber parts like hoses too!

I use you the good old fashioned "Spit and Polish" method

piss on it, the acid gets rid off the dirtyness.....nah not really haha ummmm just get some sort of shine stuff and clean it with a rag/hose
