It all started a few weeks ago when i sucked up a butt ton of water in my intake. i got lucky and my car is running almost perfect except for a hesitation that i have now. When i get on it hard in first and shift to second it hesitates pretty noticably at about 4k till about 5k and then still doesn't seem to pull as hard as it used to in 2nd. if i gradually get on it, there will be no hesitation. I thought it might have been my IAC so i took it out and cleaned it. i changed my oil and spark plugs after the water incident. my upstream o2 sensor was changed march 16, so about 6 months ago. when i first got my car running after sucking up all my water, i got a check engine light, 42, for MFI relay (fuel pump relay) but it went away. could the fuel pump or fuel pump relay be going bad? i installed my screamin demon coil pack on july 20th. any thoughts would be greatly appriciated! thanks guys!

oh yea, i also completely forgot that now sometimes in the morning when i go to start my car, it will start up and then die immediatly. then i start it back up and it starts and runs fine. i dunno. i'm having one of those times where everything is starting to give me problems. help please.

mine does the start up and die thing occasionally too. always starts right back up.
maybe a clogged idle air dealie?

what kind of fuel pressure are u getting?I had problems like what u are describing and it was a weak pump, the car ran fine but when you got on it it would hesitate, i hookd up a gauge and it turns out the pump was running but everytime i revved it up the pressure would go down from 45-50 psi to 25-30 psi. See if that is your problem (i fixed mine with a Walbro 255 and a fuel pump rewire)

ok an interesting new development... a friend was following me today and said that when i did a big downshift from 4th to 3rd a big puff of blue smoke came out. blue smoke means oil. which means, rings, valve stem seals, bad plug well gaskets, etc. not sure it that's related to the hesitation but just thought i should mention it. even though it doesn't look like i'm getting much help. haha

oh shit dude, i didn't even see that, how in the hell did i miss it! i'm sorry man! that is actually a very good idea. you can run the walbro with stock injectors?! are you turbo or still non turbo? also, i haven't an ounce of experience with a fuel pressure guage. if you could gimme some details on that also that would be freaking great man. i appreciate your reply, sorry i missed it.

well you can connect a pressure gauge to the test port on the fuel rail, or you can get a fuel pressure gauge and install it, or, depending on where your fuel filter is, i have a B&M gauge i'll give you, if you pay for shipping.

I forgot to mention i am 95 N/A, Walboro pump hardwired and my injectors were cleaned by RC engineering.(I am N/A but i do squeeze on occasion)

i've heard that our cars are bad for the valve seals leaking, which may be one of your problems. have somebody else start your car while standing behind the exhaust and if there is a puff of blue smoke at startup, it may be your valve seals....chris
