I tried eyeballing it and put my crankscraper in, I couldnt turn the crank then or now for that matter. Any advise on how to line it up becasue when I turned the car on I could hear it just barely barely scraping the crank (funny it's called that even though you really dont want it to do that). Any advise?
ALSO
What order should I put things back together... gasket, scraper, pan? or scraper, gasket, pan? Do I RTV between each or only against the block or what or just go rtv crazy?
AND
what do I torque the oil pan bolts to because it was leaking before I even ran the motor???

you may need to grind a little off the scraper. the instructions said that may be needed for some people..
as far as oder goes.. its kinda up to you. some dont even run a gasket, just RTV. i used RTV for scaper to block and then the gasket with RTV between the scraper and pan.
the torque is 8.9ft/lbs for the pan bolts.

8.9lbs? Isnt that a little low? I may have over tightened them by hand in that case.

9 is right. I don't use a gasket, just rtv. But I installed mine with the motor out.

Well 9 it is then. Why would the pan leak after only ... wait it may have been the filter that was leaking, the oil was on the filter but I thought it had come out from the pan, I'll double check, it was dark down there.

when doing my crankscraper, i put a real good bead of rtv on one side and stuck it to the block and then put all my bolts in real loose, so that i could position it the right way and spin the crank at the same time to make sure i wasn't hitting anything. after i spun the crank a few times throught the full range of motion, i tightened up all my bolts finger tight. i came back in an hour after it had dried and i took all the bolts back out and the crankscraper stuck to the block. then do another good bead of rtv to your oil pan and stick that up there. tighten your bolts down to 9ft/lbs and you're golden.
