How the heck am I going to pass smog. Ive got an OBX header, a custom cat back exhaust and a cai isnt my header gonna fuck up my smog? how am i going to pass? does anybody know anybody in the sacramento area that can do it illegally and make my shit pass?

i have a stock cat. and i just ordered a hi-flow to see if thatd help me pass. cause it didnt pass before i got the header but thats when i started usin the premium gas and octane booster like a year ago. they said that would help and ive been doin it for a year and now i gotta pass so i can renew my registration. and i cant pay for insurance till i get both those done. i need help fast! i don't want to get pulled over and loose my car to the fuckin governments bitch ass! i need a hook-up in california, for illegal smogs. i got bud if u wanna get smoked out for helpin me on this shit. hehe :squint

i have a catback exhaust and a cai and i passed. No header though.. not sure how much that would influence the outcome.

I passed mine with a cai header downpipe and cat back.....before smog I put my stock cat back in.run 94 oct don't idle to long before the test...(we have to wait in a line here) and make sure your plugs and wires are all good. NJ is pretty tough on the tail pipe sniffer.So all in all leave your stock cat on for smog and make sure your running good.

By Sacramento I assume you mean CA?

From what you've done I doubt yuor emmissions will be adversely effected enough not to mass the sniffer.

The killer could be if your parts aren't CARB certified. You guys have a visual inspection.

You will automatically fail with a CAI. Get a factory airbox.

Header will not affect emissions, but if its Bl1ngChr0memd then you'll fail visual.

What part of your test failed? NO2? HC? Visual?

If you're failing the sniffer, run your car almost out of gas, then put two gallons of ethanol in the tank with the last (rough) gallon of gas or so. You'll pass... just amke sure you go fill the car up real quick afterwards.

Yes Sacramento California, but where do i get tha 2 gallons of ethanol and how much is that shit and then do i really have to take my inake out. my headers are like blue now cause the heat from reacing everywhere. should i try that smog pass in a can stuff, i was told that might work. fuck man ill put some pics of my engine up tomorow so u guys can tell me if itd pass visual. cause i dont know i havent smogd it with the header on yet.

There's this thing called a "pre-test". It costs extra. Go get one.

They'll tell you if you'll pass and if not, why. They do the whole thing, visual and emissions but they don't report it to the DMV. If you have doubts, ALWAYS do a pretest.

Asking on here is pretty much pointless because 95% of the board doesn't live in California, so they don't realize how strict our Smogcheck-II program is.

I live in CA and have a CAI and exhuast. You will pass if your car is running fine and you have CARB numbers to pass the visual.

ok fuck it. last night some BANME! ass lil kids tryin to be cool broke 4 of my windows on my car so i cant even afford a smog check now. but thank you everyone for your help, and i bought a box of that smog pass in a can shit i should pass and my friend told me go to asian imports on folsom before sunrise and theyd let me pass visually. they usually let people slide on that shit he said. ALSO TRY ZMAX for your car. It made my engine run like i just bought it seriously i went to kragen bought a lil kit and wow. i thought my car was off when it was idleing and my car is normally so loud and it even feels like i got about 15-20 horses out of it. TRY ZMAX OUT!! They sell it at Kragen, Auto Zone and most places like that or just order it of the internet.
