80152, RE: anyone have a silencer in their exhaust? Posted by EvMan2345, Sep-05-04 09:37 PM ive got an HKS super dragger, and with no silencer it was LOUD. I mean obnoxious loud, at all ranges. HKS doesnt make a silencer so i found the arospeed one fit. Put that in, and it muffled it quite a bit. Its not loud anymore- But you can still hear the exhaust note. If you dont want to be noticeable, i say GST. | |

Posted by Green, Sep-06-04 07:53 AM Yeah, the removable silencers that insert into the tip quiet down the car a LOT more than welding in a resonator. I've done both. The resonator only smoothened the exhaust sound, but the silencer is what actually made the exhaust quiet. It's not completely gone like stock, but I can hear my intake growling over the exhaust note. I have one of those silencers that you can open/close the holes on the side to create more/less of an opening for the exhaust to flow out of. With it completely open, i didn't notice any difference in the way the car drove. | |
