if you don't have a lower compression motor then those numbers are a low.

Those numbers are not great but they are well within the service limit for a stock 420a motor.

Yes those are just fine and none of them fall outside the 25% split limit either.

So do u think there is anything that I could do to try and bump them up a bit. What is the most common reason the compression goes done? Dumb yeah but might help. I now I have valve tick so I am sure that dont help but dont know the condition of my rings. They seem fine but I didn't pour oil in the cylinder cause the number where in spec. I did replace the valve cover though.

was the engine warm or cold when you did this? 17x seems to be JUST outside the limits if I remember correctly... I think 180 was the lowest. 220 was the highest, but who cares if you are above 220... you know.

it was about 120 F. The numbers are in spec but on the low end of the spec. What can I do to try and bump them back up without rebuilding.

The limit is 170-225psi @250-400r/min with a minimum of 100psi and a max differential split of 25% between all cylinders. Your numbers are ok. Shows wear in sealing components (valves or rings) but you are just fine for now otherwise.

well what was the exact way you tested ur compression and have you tried putting a lil oil in the cylinder to test the rings. if your numbers go up dramatically then i'd kinda be worried, if not then ur cool.

Nothing really. If you ran the test correctly then normal wear and tear might apply.
