What all is involved in this and for the money time and performance gain am i better off getting a bored 55mm 2g throttle body...

1G TB into 2G is a 4G63 thing ! ! !

for us "420As" so far the only way to get more air flowing throw the TB is by porting/boreing the TB.

You can always play with going the 60mm tb from a chrysler minivan route. I doubt it is really worth it onthe stock manifold though. It is a better option if going to a larger custom manifold. Otherwise I would just send my tb off to howell and port match the intake manifold when you get it back.

damn that is what i thought...those dumb 4G63 things. What is the highest bore i can get done to mine? just 55mm or 58mm ???
Howell charges like 200 dollars plus i will be out a throttle body till i get it back...maybe i will go get one from another car from a salvage yard or something and have that one bored.
Any other suggestions as far as mods to engine...i am soon going to have a Star StageII turbo installed so where do i go from there?

55mm is port matched to the intake manifold. That is the size of the opening in the manifold and the size of the gasket(with a slight shaving of the gasket).

Howell only charges $100 to bore a customers TB and you can pick one up at a junk yard if you can't afford the down time. I got mine for $50. Try Dan at allmitsubishi.com, I don't know what he charges but he has a LOT of parts for our car.

summit has the venom manifold in stock, and dreamspeed said they can get it. ive made like 2 posts about this already ;) hehe

also, the guy that does a lot of the tb boring for the A/S guys bores them out to 58mm

ok the guys from howell explained this to me. the most you can actually bore it is 55mm. some places say they bore it 58 because they measure from the biggest point which is on the wrong side of the throttle plate.

So no one sells them bigger or other fit from another car that it will fit and be able to bore to more than 55mm.And does anyone know how much is the diameter of the Venom intake and our stock intake please help on this topic.

Hey guys what about the Venom intake and the chrysler minivan throttle body bored to the same diameter all we need to know is how much is the Venom diameter then with other stuff like nos or turbo and forged pistons and you know the hole deal for drag racing. Let me know what you all think of this ideal.
