79856, do we have a dsm link yet
Posted by shybuck, Aug-29-04 04:44 PM
Do we have an available dsmlink that we can put into our cars yet. Or does some1 make program that can control function and test individual sensors on a oem ecu.

seems at this rate, the best bang for our buck as far as ecu shit is Megasquirt.

i really dont think the dsm link is needed for our cars.

the new portfueler will do us just fine. of course there is a standalone or megasquirt, but from what i hear they are a bitch to setup and tune.

I don't really know anything about the port fueler, but I don't think that the mega squirt is a half bad idea, we've set up an 81 528i with the MS and there was a very noticable improvement in power. I think that if I go with a turbo, I'll be using the MS. after all, it does have a self tune function once you get most of your parameters roughed in.

No, seriously... that's what they said on "Pimp My Ride!"

Your best option is a standalone. Not worth halfassing it with piggybacks.

Serious as a Honda's torque rating.
