Ok I just got my new mp tb. I swapped over the sensors from my old tb and hooked everything up. I got it to idle fine but when i push the gas or hit the throttle it chokes and dies. I can barely pull back the throttle and it'll rev but if i try and drive it or anything it dies. Anyone have a clue? I unplugged the TPS and it revs to like 2-3 grand when i unplug it and when i hit the throttle it still dies. Someone please know whats wrong? TIA

Ok wtf now im really pissed. I have 2 other stock tbs. I took the sensors off the mp tb and put them back on my stock one, tried stocker number 1 same thing, i thought it might be one of the sensors so i used my other tb SAME THING. WTF my car was fine before i did this. I know a tb is a simple ass thing but i have no idea why the hell its doing this.

starting with the simplest things, is it possible you accidentally disconnected a vacuum line when you installed the tb?

I dont believe so but I will check again. They looked all connected on the intake manifold, tb, and on my bov? Anything else it could be. thanks

Check your Idle Air Controller (IAC).

you are having a problem OPPOSITE of what I just went through with mine.... I had a 4k idle... clear sealant fixed that.

it shouldn't do that, I can back that screw all the way out on mine (the one that touches the pulley when at 0 throttle) and I will still idle.

Call MP, they are VERY helpful when it comes to problems with their products, I had a solution within a matter of seconds when talking to the guy at modern performance. their turn around time is HORRIBLE when it comes to those things, but their info and customer service is UNBELIEVABLE!!! call them.
