would wrapping a cold air intake in header heat wrap have any positive effect, or would it be useless and just make my engine bay look shitty?? thanks

If noobs were to "use the fucking search dumbass" then he wouldnt have to write that, thats the reason there is a huge database of old posts,
give me your phone number and Im going to call you every hour with the same question and see how long it takes you to get pissed.
Ill answer it though, yes it will lower temps in the intake tube, No you wont notice any gains at all. unless you can notice a .25HP increase.

the reason we say search is because 98% if the questions asked by new people have been answered well over 50 times before.
iv seen people wrap the intake...youll get a cooler intake charge, but youll need to insulate your intake manifold as well with a phenothalic spacer to get the full benefit IMO. you also need to wrap the exhaust mani and keep as much heat out of the bay from that as well...or just get an iceman or other plastic cai which dosent transmitt heat so much
