79519, who has the total seal instruction sheet?
Posted by Chamuko, Aug-23-04 09:41 PM
I just need to double check the rings orientation. Anyone can scan and send it to me? Or host it for future reference?

Total seals pages are underconstruction, I have not received a reply to my e-mail for 3 days. Oh and If you must know, assembly lube owned me, so the page is da fugly.

I know I know, but its what came with the howell kit.

I know IO can use the stock ring orientation, with the 2nd ring (the total seals) 180 deg from each other. I wnat to double check though.

I so wish I had some JE rings

just make the gaps opposite of eachother (typical ring config) and make sure its on the front and back of the piston (the gap) not the sides (skirts)

God please dont do it!!! I just got done reinging mine because of those demonic rings. I lost about 1 qt. every 500-750 miles. I know it was the rings, because I finished the job about two weeks ago and havent lost a drop.

I bought the same kit you probably got. Spend the extra 80 bucks and get some Hastings. There the same as the JE rings.

Be smart, good luck
