I recently discovered that my thermostat had broken apart while it was within the Thermostat housing. It's strange.

It doesn't hurt to stick your finger in there. Take off the Radiator Cap and determine if there are any parts moving. If so, replace it or leave it out, I live in Vegas so I don't need a thermostat.

This is merely a warning to all of you. This little check could save you a water pump from going out (to debris) or an entire motor. Luckily for me the spring in the back kept the parts from entering the block.
