i bought this car and knew it burned oil but WOW after i changed the oil and filled it up with in 1 day it didnt show any oil on the dip stick, what happens is the car smokes for a few seconds when driven on the interstate for like 20 mins, then it runs fine, when it does smoke it feels like its running off of 3 cylinders and then it will be fine, kinda sputters a bit, i was wondering if its the valve seads or what ever they are called of maybe the piston rings that are bad, i have another motor for it but would like to not just swap it out entirly, i need some help

Leakdown test. Stop driving it or you're going to spin a bearing.

it's not a 2 stroke motor, oil goes in the crank case, not gas tank.
J/K.. I wouldn't drive it at all until you look at it though.

could be either, rings would be my guess, but I have been known to be wrong sometimes.

do what Uber said a leak down test, that will tell you where its going. Also check the engien for leaks, you might have multiple problems.
Can you see any oil smoke during accelleration?

Yes!! Video please! And you are right...could be rings or seals. As others have said, leakdown test. Look for leaks too.
