Would a bored out 55mm throttle body from a neon work on my 96 420a eclipse?? Would the sensors work??

Sensors are the same....it least the 1st gen neons are. I have one and i cross referenced the part numbers at WWW.autozone.com. i would figure the later years are the same as well.
and yes the TB will work

the TB itself is the same
the difference is the plastuic linkage for the throttle cable they are not the same
you will need to reuse the one from your 2gnt and probably enlarge the slot in the shaft for the larger butterfly
that's what I did on mine
