78384, Hard starting fixed.... Fuel pressure loss fixed.... Tis a good day, cause I am bored :) Posted by jsupetran, Aug-01-04 03:33 PM
For a while know, I had trouble starting. Like sometimes I would be cranking for 7 seconds to ten just to get it started. I was thinking that maybe my battery or alterator was done. I was even thinking about buying a new coil pack and wires to fix the damn thing. A month after, I looked under the car and noticed my fuel hose at the inline fuel pump sticking out. There was a kink in the line. Ever since then, my starts have been great and I just wingled the hose. Yesterday, I re-hose the inline fuel pump inorder to prevent this from happening.
This also fixed a fuel pressure problem I had been dealing with for over 6 months. I would notice that the a/f would slowly decrease as boost increases. I think it is because the kink at the fuel line robbed my car of fuel. So when I hit boost, it would slowly go down sometimes all the way to .91 v at WOT. Now, I'm no longer experiencing this with the fuel lines, so I am happy!
Just wanted to share and put this on the board for anyone experiencing any of the above simptoms. ;)
