well i'm getting ready to purchase stage one turbo kit,and a planning a rebuild with 8.6.1 compression froged pistons and rods
but i want to biuld another block so as to keep mine running (daily driver) went to pick your part junk yard today they have 97 eclipse 420a w/60,000miles on it the owner tried to change the timing belt and fried the head the seems to be in goo d condition though i can't see inside of it do you think it's worth $250.00

That's not a bad price. Expect bent valves and dimpled pistons, but if you're rebuilding it, that won't matter.

It doesn't really matter what kind of condition it's in if your going to rebuild it with forged internals and other accessories. If it's intact, for 250, I say get it.

froged pistons? are ya new?

i look at it this way.....if you oreder a motor from vt, or howell they will charge you 400 for a core. so for 250 you get a whol motor-core block and possibly decent head....you cant go wrong with your intensions.

went to get my engine today and the guy totaly screwed me.
i didn't think to bring any cash and he wouldn't take a check or visa. this wasn't such a bad thing except i drove an hour away to pick it up. i guess i should have asked but it still pissed me off! neway just gonna order star kit2 instead and put in on my cars current engine.

he wont hold the thing for you a day to go back...thats kinda shitty, you proved your in good faith trying to get it.
