Whenever I push in the clutch or let it out, a hear a sqeezing noise like a spring or something....I've been having problems with the clutch for a lil bit, but its not slipping at all..its just not always engaging or disengaging properly...I was wondering if this was the TOB (Throw out bearing) that was making this noise..and if so....is it possible for me to replace it, or do I need to have it professionally done?

Changing out the clutch and throwout bearing is easier than changing a headlight bulb. The only downside is you have to separate the block from the tranny and lower or the other (or raise the block). If you've never done anything like it before, I would say you first see if you can't find some local 2GNTers and offer to pay them to do the job for you. They will appreciate the money, and you will appreciate not having to pay more than $500 to have a $45 bearing slipped over a shaft, thus getting the shaft yourself. :)

With enough research, patience and beer, you can do anything to your car. Last summer it took me 3 weeks to do a rebuild. This summer it took me only 3 hours to get the entire engine out and on the ground.
