78058, Prothane motor & tranny mounts Posted by dougie2, Jul-25-04 09:34 AM
I'm trying to find these. I can't find anyone that sells them. I want the full set of four - front motor, side motor, rear tranny, side tranny. Please help! All this torque is causing excessive movement.
Who sells them?

Watch out for your axles with the power you putting out at Stage 5. I wouldn't overdue it, the axles need some play unless you have upgraded ones.

I'm not worried about them being stiff. The more vibration, the better IMO. I just placed an order with Summit Racing. Thanks for the help guys, I had no idea these were so readily available or I would've got them a couple years ago.

Here's a pic of me burning out my stock mounts (which I then cut the metal rings on the inside with a hacksaw (or you can use a bodysaw).

Then you can press in the urethane from the Prothane kit by hand and a rubber mallet.
For the record, part #ptp-13-1901 from Summit Racing ($65), includes full replacements for the passenger and driver side mounts (you just need to use your stock motor mount shell), and inserts for the front and rear mounts.

Cool... I can't wait! I was hoping the sides at least are full replacement.
