What's up fellas? Just came from our annual state inspection. Usually, my car passes without a hitch, and the results never get close to the test limits, but this time it just made it. Here are my readings.
Limits HC 0.60 CO 10.00 NOx 1.50
Results HC 0.51 CO 2.08 NOx 1.03
It has never ran such a bad test, and has had a recent tuneup, and runs great. The mechanic mentioned that it seemed low on high end power, and was struggling, but I think he's full of it. The car has never felt so good. I'm not too sure what the gases they are looking for are caused by, but I figured somebody out there can recommend a remedy. The mechanic also recommended I backflush the injectors, which I'll admit that I haven't done in about 3 yrs. Any advice would be appreciate. If there is a problem with my baby, I want to get it fixed before it becomes a nightmare. Thanks again.

your cat might be going bad did you think of that one? maybe needs new spark plug wires. could be anything. Timing off etc... Timing is what jacked me up.
