78005, RC injector fitment
Posted by soulcontroller, Jul-23-04 01:10 PM
ok, im installing some 440 rc's today, and looking at their fitment, they dont seem to fit snugly in the fuel rail. i would think that with higher fuel pressures gas is just going to leak past them...

i put new o-rings on the manifold side, but the rail side just seems loose...

comments?

oh and btw..

you will be able to spin the injectors around once you have them in. its not 100% solid.

yea, 2 went in pretty easily, 2 were being little sluts. the o ring kept coming out of place and the injector would sit crooked. i finally got em...all bolted up now, thanks james.

I'd double check those o-rings, if you pinched them you don't want to have an o-ring with a tear in it. Fuel leaking out is BAD.

A light coat of oil helps the o-ring slide in if it's being slutty.
