We have a silencer on the airox? :scratch

When you're looking down at the airbox itself in the bay, you want to drill your holes in the side that bolts up under the ECU. If you drill the left side, you will let air bypass the filter. Remove your snorkel to the TB and the filter. You will find 3 10mm bolts in the center of the dirty side housing. In the center is a round piece that snaps into place. Just remove the bolts and you can work the box part off with a little effort. If you have exhaust, this will lower the tone of it and make it sound pretty sweet man. I highly recommend looking into the K&N drop in replacement while you're at it. Should you decide to get a full CAI later, you can sell your old K&N to a no0b who is on the no0b budget. In fact, I might still have mine laying around for $30 shipped. ;)

speaking of that... same thing goes for me in a couple of weeks, lets say $20 though.

and as for the holes... anywhere on the dirty side, I think I posted pics of mine before... I like my holy airbox, even though it will only be on my car for a short while more it is still greatly appreciated, along with a dremel ported Throttle body.

the silencer hangs down from the body of the box. when you remove it you will see what im talking about. cut the whole thing off. cuts some holes and re-install.

when i did it i noticed a marked change in throttle response and "perkyness". of course, it sounds 10x meaner too. ;)

Bwahahahahaha... this belongs to my car, and will soon be replaced with a short ram AEM (due to the 60mm tb soon coming too)

EDIT: don't mind the camera's tourist strap thing hanging down in the picture, I might have been a little drunk at the time of the "photo shoot".
EDIT EDIT: that white crap is fiberglass powder from bodywork, It's gone now... all clean and purdy.
