I tried to install a new valve cover, but it didnt work so i reinstalled my old valve cover. Now after that, i am having problems. When i turn on the car, it idles fine with no problem, my vacuum is -14, and also when i rev to around 2000-2500 rpom it is fine and settles back down. But if i rev it higher, it starts to bog and my vac drops to -10, and it starts shaking and everything until i let off and then it bogs down until my vac comes to -14, which then it idles fine like after i started it. I am thinking a vacuium problem b/c it did not do that until i messed with my valve cover. I have no hole or kinks in my vac lines. I may have stripped the threads for one bolt on the head but i put threadlock on it and tightened it down. Could i need new gaskets, pcv, or can anyone help me please. I think i may have not sealed the cover good enough, but i want to be a second opinion so i could feel a little better instead of worried about my motor. Thanks in advance.

try new gaskets...my feeling is that when you installed your valve cover you pinched your gasket and it is causing an air leak. Do a leak test...here is what you do

Go buy a can of carb/throttle body cleaner and just spray around the edge of your valve cover with the motor on. When you hear the revs kick up you have found your leak :thumbsup goodluck!

edit: if that is the problem then when you reinstall it use a lil RTV sealant around the edge
